I just can't get it right.
Dad:
So what'd you get for your brother's wedding gift?
Me:
Matching mugs for him and his wife.
Dad:
That's not a very good gift. In Vietnamese, two words for cup are ly and tách. Ly tách means to separate.
Me:
Well, I speak mostly English, and I call it a cup.
Mom:
Cup sounds a lot like khóc.
